En l’air/à Terre: Grace Through Grounding will feature a collection of images from professional dance photographer Mike Ethridge, owner of Mike’s Pure Exposure and Ridge Gallery.
This one-night-only event will take place on Friday, November 1st, 2024, and is the culmination of a unique collaboration between Ethridge and dancers from Ballet Spartanburg.
Ethridge’s photographs capture the essence and individuality of each dancer, while also highlighting the beauty and power that emerge when diverse talents unite in shared expression.
In addition to Ethridge’s photographs, the exhibit will also feature a short film, in which several dancers offer a deeper glimpse into their personal journeys and artistic processes. Several Ballet Spartanburg dancers will also be present, allowing attendees to meet the artists behind the images.
This event is not just a visual celebration but also a chance to support the arts in Spartanburg. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase season tickets to Ballet Spartanburg’s upcoming season or make donations to a pointe shoe fund to help keep these artists on their toes.
